Our mission is bold. We want to remove 100,000,000 pounds of plastic from the circular economy in the next 5 years. We can achieve this goal by upcycling biowaste into recyclable materials that can substitute for fossil-fuel-based plastics.

Our Mission

Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling Will Not be Enough to Combat the Plastic Problem

“Let’s face facts, we are addicted to plastic. We need to fundamentally rethink how we make and how we dispose of plastic products because changing human behavior on a global scale is virtually impossible. Puro Renewables fully supports reduce, reuse, and recycling initiatives. But we also need to face the reality that these initiatives will not be enough to solve the plastic problem. We need rationale, cost-effieicent solutions to reduce our reliance on fossil-fuel resins. The good news is, we have those solutions.”

(Justin Danko, CEO of Puro Renewables)

What We are Doing to Overcome the Challenge

Puro Renewables is driven by a belief that businesses and consumers have become ‘addicted to plastic’ and are not prepared to stop using them. Because of this, we need to change the way we think about plastics from raw material through to end-of-life without sacrificing function or quality.

By upcycling abundant biowaste, Puro Renewables has been able to develop practical and affordable solutions for the world’s great manufacturers, brands, and distributors allowing them to continue creating products everyone wants while reducing their reliance on fossil fuels, reducing their carbon footprint, and reducing the long term impact of their plastic waste if it cannot be recycled.
